Next Astro-forecast from my friend:

VIRGO NEW MOON – Wednesday 20 September, exact at 6.29am BST, 1.29am EDT

There is certainly a lot of Virgo involved in this New Moon, so there is the potential for some kind of wake-up call that makes us aware to what needs working on in our lives. Virgo is a sign of transition that tends to bring situations or experiences into our lives which make us aware of our inadequacies, imperfections or lacks, which then leads to self-analysis, which then leads to seeking a solution, which then, hopefully, forces us to shift in the right direction. The downfall of Virgo energy is that we might analyse so much and make the problem seem so big and overwhelming that we work ourselves into a state of self-doubt, inferiority, panic or paralysis and get absolutely nowhere! The best analogy for this is a giant centipede, with all of its many legs that work as one cohesive system. If the centipede were to worry too much about how one particular leg worked, the whole system would just collapse! This is Virgo. It is the part of us that really wants to do well and to improve ourselves, but can also be very self-defeating because we are trying to attain some impossible standard of perfection and focus on the little details too much. Virgo is very hard on herself indeed, but it is often wherever we are always striving to do better that we are actually doing better than we think.

New Moons are a very potent time in the month, when we have a chance to look within and contemplate what patterns or habits we need to leave behind in the dark of the Moon and what seeds we want to sow for the month ahead. As we are in Virgo season, with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars all in Virgo, there is a big emphasis on cleansing, decluttering, purifying, establishing healthy routines and “putting the house in order”. Our homes and personal environment are a reflection of our inner state, so if we have let them fall into a state of chaos or disrepair then this is a perfect time to remedy that. As within, so without! This is a time of tweaking and adjustment, when we attend to our inner and outer temple. Often, however, it is some kind of crisis or wake-up call that actually makes us aware of what is out of balance in our lives. It is so easy to be self-critical or self-defeating in the face of crisis, or to feel persecuted or criticised, or to beat ourselves up for our short-comings, and so often we are our own worst enemies! However, it is far better to merely see whatever comes up as a gift; a prod from the universe showing us where we need to make adjustments for a better existence.

This is a time when we could become all too aware of what is out of balance in our lives and what needs improving. It is important to harness the energy of Virgo and face whatever comes up with true humility rather than being defensive or self-deprecating. Virgo in its highest form seeks to be of service, in a way that is truly helpful to others rather than in a self-sacrificing or self-destructive way. One of Virgo’s main priorities is finding the right work for ourselves; work that is a reflection of our natural talents, capabilities and is also useful and aligned with our higher purpose. She is also adept at the art of discrimination and discernment, so this is an ideal time to separate the wheat from the chaff and decide what simply isn’t serving our highest good. This is a time of transition and is the perfect time to put some new, healthy routines in places and to cleanse ourselves, both internally and externally. Mars in Virgo will certainly give us the energy and motivation to do just that, although he might also force us to confront ourselves and be somewhat merciless about our shortcomings and what needs to change. Virgo seeks to humble us and deflate our ego, but in the extreme it can bring humiliation or mortification as we are taken down a peg or two!

Uranus is forming an inconjunct aspect to the Sun and Moon, and this particular aspect also denotes some kind of crisis. Uranus has a sudden, unpredictable quality to it and can cause us to “wake up” in no uncertain terms! Something could happen to shake us up a bit and make us aware of where we are falling short or need to work on ourselves. It may be unsettling, annoying or even a bit shocking, but ultimately Uranus is helping us to snap out of any unhealthy ruts, habits or patterns that are holding us back from growth. Sometimes it takes a bit of a shock to make us aware of where we are going wrong and what needs to change. The Sabian Symbol for Uranus, at 28°Aries, is “A large audience confronts the performer who disappointed its expectations.” which Dane Rudyar describes as “The necessity for mature preparation and self-criticism.” The performer is “made fully aware of having promised – to the many elements of his own personality as well as perhaps to other human beings – more than he was able to deliver. The issue is how to handle this situation. In one form or another, it is an often recurring situation in the life of an individual person. The manner in which it is met determines the individual’s future possibilities of development and achievement.” This symbol has a resonance with Mars in Virgo and brings a sense of being confronted by our shortcomings somehow. It’s up to us how we handle it, however.

The Saturn Chiron square is starting to build again, this being the third in a set of three squares. It is also being activated by this New Moon. The first square peaked on December 28 2016, the second peaked on April 30 2017 and this, the final one, will peak on November 2. This square will force us to face up to old patterns and wounds that have become too solidified, breaking them apart so that we are better able to grow spiritually. Saturn forces us to stand up with integrity and become responsible for all we are capable of, but this could be a painful process. We are being asked to commit to our path and could be forced to face the darkest part of ourselves in order to clear the way. This is the hardest test because it entails confronting the most painful, buried wounds that we have hitherto been too scared to fully face. We may have dipped our toe in the water, or even gone up to our waists, but now we have to really dive in. If we don’t find the courage to face them once and for all, there is a feeling that we will be stuck where we are and not able to progress spiritually and accomplish what we are here to do in this lifetime. It is a time of reckoning, when we must not be afraid to be vulnerable and do the work necessary to move past these boulders that stand in between us and our highest purpose.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is, at 28° Virgo: “A bald-headed man who has seized power.” Which Dane Rudyar describes as “the sheer power of personality in times that call for a decision. Whether at a religious or at the socio-political and cultural level, there comes a time when obsolescent patterns of order and cultural refinement have to be radically and relentlessly challenged. Catabolic personages emerge to seize power and dictate decisions that alter the structure of society; or within an individual life, an intense urge for cathartic changes mobilises the will, and traumatic decisions are made. At such times, the issue has to be met and, ruthlessly as the power may appear, it must be accepted. With this symbol we face the unpostponable necessity for decision and transformation. Existence is motion. No static formation, however beautiful and inspiring, can remain long unchallenged. Everything bows to THE POWER OF THE WILL – divine, executively human, or Satanic.”

This Moon seems to be calling us to action and forcing us to take a long, hard look at ourselves and see what needs to change. There is no need to beat ourselves up about it, and this isn’t about achieving perfection, but rather we need to decide what we need must do to improve the situation and move, one step at a time, towards a solution. We need to recognise where our biggest block is and truly commit to moving past it, whatever it may take and however painful it might be. It seems as if we will be made very aware of what holding us back and will have no choice but to look it squarely in the face, rather than allowing it to slither back into the background. It looks like we are being given an opportunity to see ourselves more clearly, even though it may be a bit uncomfortable or even shocking. As Rudyar says “an intense urge for cathartic changes mobilises the will”. We could feel a sense of urgency and discontent that propels us to make the necessary change in our lives. However, instead of getting overwhelmed by what we need to do we must remember to simply take one step at a time.

Hey, missed this before!

Did you know I was also born in 1961? So I am also a “Double Bull” as I was born in the Year of the Ox and have Taurus as my rising sign!

yeah i think my dad is ‘double-bull’ also. INTJ.

but despite him being INTJ,

generally, something about double-bull ,they have a very peaceful vibe.
i wonder it’s because cows are peaceful animals?

something that blows my mind is this.

how did people come up with 12 animals in chinese years, and 12 signs of astrology?
like how did they come up with taurus? libra?
just because the alignment of the stars looked like it? it’s just crazy to me.
because it’s abnormaly accurate.

like i’m a Horse in Chinese year. and their description is oddly accurate.
and even the Libra.

so, basically, it’s cool that the sign resembles who that person is.

but what’s MORE cool is , HOW the heck did people come up with the symbols?

this is another possibility,
i wonder if there were THOUSANDS of these signs that people created,
and they started filtering what makes sense to them, so whatever that survived hundreds and thousands of years, is considered the most accurate?
i don’t know.

it’s just crazy.

Egyptians used decans as a sky clock for time keeping and recognized sky as a basket of energies and micro/macrocosm synergy. Fixed signs were consistent with modern elemental correspondences, except Scorpio was Aquila the Eagle.

Man, Lion, Bull, Eagle (recognize them from anything else?)

Modern Western astrology elements came from Egyptian but also Babylonian and Zoroastrian systems. I think it’s all pretty complicated and would also be interested if anyone has information or sources. I think there’s some correspondence to Chinese heavenly stems and Western signs.

Latest Astro-forecast from my friend:

ARIES FULL MOON – Thursday 5 Oct, exact at 7.40pm BST, 2.40pm EDT.

While the last couple of Moons have taken us through a time of transition, this one heralds a call to take courageous action! This Full Moon highlights the relationship axis of Aries and Libra, and with Pluto, the planet of soul, power and transformation, squaring the axis it is quite likely that the way we approach our relationships will be going through some kind of metamorphosis. It is a very interesting Moon because Venus and Mars, the rulers of the Libra Sun and Aries Moon, are entwined in exactly the same degree of Virgo! The cosmic lovers are also being helped out by transformational Pluto and challenged by realistic Saturn. This gives a sense that we will be prompted to take a long hard look at our relationship patterns and contemplate what might need to change. Initially we may experience some kind of crisis, as is the Virgo way, but it is merely growing pains as we transition from one way of relating to a healthier way that is more aligned with our core truth. Virgo is very self-critical and creates a feeling of needing to do better as well as analysing things to death! She also asks that we humble ourselves and find how we can be of service, so we could use this Moon to contemplate where we might need more humility and how we can better serve our relationships, whether friendship, familial or intimate.

The Moon is full in the independent, assertive and courageous sign of Aries, sitting directly opposite the Sun in peaceful, harmonious and diplomatic Libra. The key to the Full Moon is to find the balance between the energy of the two signs rather than veering too far in one direction. Aries is all about “Me”, while Libra is all about “Us”, or “Other”. Aries is the part of us that needs the independence and freedom to have whatever experiences are necessary to discover who we are, what we are here for and where we are going. It is a very instinctual sign that is very spontaneous, enthusiastic and impulsive. Obviously it is easier to act on our own individual impulses when we are not in relationship, and this is where the tension between the two signs shows itself. There is a fine line between honouring our own needs and being “selfish”, self-centred or self-serving. In the same token there is a fine line between honouring the needs of the other and giving our power away or sacrificing our own needs. They key is to recognise when compromise is needed for the sake of the relationship itself, which of course is its own entity and needs nurturing, and when we need to stick up for our own needs and rights. It’s a delicate balance!

Aries gives us the inner courage and strength to move into unknown territory and break away from past patterns of behaviour that may be inhibiting our growth. He asks that we move forward and forge a new way of being, rather than recreating the past and recycling old, outworn ways of relating. With Mars sitting right next to Venus in Virgo, it seems that we could become acutely aware of the relationship patterns that are holding us back or where we might be experiencing lack in our various relationships. The way we relate as adults can be traced directly back to what we experienced in the womb and early childhood, and the patterns and habits we formed that long ago can be very difficult to recognise, let alone break! Something could come up within our relationships that leads to self-questioning, which then leads to the need to find some kind of creative solution. The Aries and Libra/Mars and Venus quandary revolves around the Aries fear of entrapment or loss of freedom versus our natural desire to be in relationship with others. How do we honour our own path and not lose our personal sense of purpose and destiny while also taking into account the needs, purpose and destiny of our partner and the relationship itself?

Pluto is challenging both the Sun and Moon, which could really help us to get to the bottom of whatever might need to change. Pluto forces us to confront ourselves and to be brutally honest about our desires and motivations. He urges us to face our shadows and recognise what old patterns and compulsions may be tripping us up time and time again. This is the planet of the soul and transformation, and he is prone to giving us a cosmic kick up the bum if we are stuck in old habits or situations that are preventing growth. We could experience some very intense emotions that come from the deep, dark, depths of our psyche. If we are brave enough to actually express what we are feeling we could make ourselves feel quite vulnerable and exposed. However, with Pluto forming a harmonious aspect to Mars and Venus, this honesty has the potential to really help and transform our relationships, bringing us closer to our loved ones and creating greater intimacy. Not to mention that being brave enough to truly recognise and confront whatever it is that has been tripping us up all of our lives has the potential to completely transform our lives and relationships. We have the chance to make the unconscious conscious, and this is powerful indeed!

The Saturn Chiron Square is also challenging the Venus Mars conjunction in Virgo, and this too is prompting us to face up whatever is holding us back from our full potential. We are being asked to break some age-old patterns that are keeping us imprisoned and are quite simply not helping our lives and relationships one little bit! This could be a painful process, especially if we resist it, so it is probably better to dive straight in with the willingness to face whatever we must in order to grow. We all have that “beast” that has been following us around our whole life, holding us back from realising our full potential in both our lives and relationships. We are being offered a gift; the possibility of really seeing our own personal beast for what it is and putting it in its proper place so that it no longer rules us. Just being consciously aware of this pattern or compulsion will make it lose its power. This is the last of three squares between Saturn and Chiron, and there is a feeling of “enough is enough”. It is time to face it once and for all so that we can move forward to the next level. The Square will be exact on 4 November, but it is our relationships that will be the catalysts for growth during this Full Moon. As they so often are!

The Sabian symbol for the Sun/Moon midpoint, at 13° Capricorn, is: “A fire worshiper meditates on the ultimate realities of existence”, which Dane Rudyar describes as “The subjective quest for ultimates beyond the interplay of life and death processes. In times when collective, perhaps total death could be in store for mankind, the process of subjective meditation is fascinating an ever-greater number of people. This symbol brings us to a stage beyond life itself. Are we ready to take this step which the masters of yoga claim to have taken: to experience death and return to the same body? Are we ready to demonstrate man’s WILL TO TRANSCENDENCE.” What will we each see when we stare into the flames? This feels like a dare, and Aries is up to the challenge! It’s time to be brave and to surrender; to throw ourselves in the deep end. It is time to face our greatest fear and step beyond it.

This is exactly what i’m experiencing right now.

I’ve actually just finished reading a book centered around childhood development and it brought up so many personal realisations as to why I behave the way I do.

It’s not easy, creating a new way of being, it feels like going against everything you’ve ever known. I don’t even know if I can trust in my own thoughts and feelings anymore, it’s terribly confusing.

Reading things like this provides some reassurance that I’m not just mind f**king myself for no reason.

Thanks for sharing Stewart!

Latest forecast from my friend for this week’s Libra New Moon:

LIBRA NEW MOON – Thursday 19 October, exact at 8.12pm BST, 3.12pm EDT

This Moon is an invitation to step outside of our comfort zone and try something new on for size. We are currently being given the opportunity to shed old patterns and habits that quite simply aren’t serving us anymore. The energy of the New Moon is quietly potent and whatever seeds we sow now, whether consciously or otherwise, have the power to blossom and grow over the course of the next month. The theme of this New Moon is relationships and balancing extremes, as the Sun and Moon are forming their monthly union in Libra, the sign of balance, equality and relating to others. Not only that, Libra’s ruler, Venus, is also in Libra which places further emphasis on finding balance and equality in our relationships with others. We have a chance to contemplate what we would like to change moving forward and what patterns of relating we would like to leave behind in the dark of the moon. We could be made all too aware of where we are stuck in certain patterns, and our relationships could give us the perfect opportunity to confront and embrace the parts of ourselves that are hidden in the shadows.

Libra helps us to become more aware of who and what we are through the mirror of our relationships. Those unowned or unrecognised aspects of ourselves often show up through the people that come into our life, and this can be either very uncomfortable and irritating or beautifully validating and comforting, depending on what part of ourselves are being mirroring back to us! Libra is known as the sign of balance, but in fact it represents the need in us to find balance between extremes, as the scales can so easily tip too far in one direction. As such, this New Moon could help us to face the discordant or extreme aspects of our nature and reconcile them somehow. It is quite likely that our relationships will provide the insight, opportunity and impetus needed to take a long hard look at ourselves and make the necessary changes. Libra also teaches us the art of really listening so that we can truly understand where the other person is coming from and what their needs are rather than simply hearing them through the lens of our own reality and needs. It is so easy to think we know what the other person needs rather than understanding what they actually need! In Libra we learn how to relate to one another as equals, finding the middle ground so that one person doesn’t dominate the relationship.

In the same token, it is so easy for us to project our unmet or unfulfilled childhood needs onto other people, unconsciously expecting or needing them to somehow make us feel safe and secure. However, this is not their job! One of the lessons of Libra is to learn self-reliance, learning to meet our own needs and nurture our individual path instead of depending of a relationship to somehow complete us. Our experiences with our parents in childhood can so easily be projected onto others, so that we play out old patterns of relating over and over again within our lifetime until we finally recognise them and make efforts to develop new, healthier patterns. We can easily attract our abandoning father or controlling mother, for example, in order to confront and heal the all too “familiar” theme or dynamic that we have been dealing with our whole lives. These people that come into our lives are a gift; an opportunity to work on unresolved material that is the major source of soul growth for us in this lifetime. This New Moon could give us the chance to make great strides in this area, as those close to us could provide us with a very clear mirror with which to see and break the patterns that hold us prisoner.

With Jupiter sitting right next to the Sun and Moon, having just moved into Scorpio on October 10, there is much impetus and benefit to be gained from facing ourselves bravely and honestly! Jupiter will be in Scorpio for the next thirteen months, bringing the potential for amazing growth and expansion through diving into the shadows and facing our fears, darkness, intimacy issues and anything that lurks beneath the surface of our consciousness. Jupiter has just left Libra and this has definitely exaggerated the imbalance and opposing extremes that exist within us, both personally and collectively. Jupiter, being the largest planet, now has the potential to exaggerate and magnify the energy of Scorpio for the next year, so we could experience more obsession, fanaticism, power struggles, death/rebirth, shadows becoming visible, manipulation, betrayal, loss, all of which are Scorpio themes. However, we could also gain tremendous benefit from diving into the darkness of our own psyches and being brave enough to own our shadows. There is amazing potential for deep soul transformation this year, as we transcend our limitations, purging old, outworn patterns that are preventing growth. This Moon kick starts Jupiter’s transit through Scorpio, as the mirror of our relationships brings opportunities to really face ourselves with true emotional honesty.

Uranus, the Great Awakener, is opposite The Sun and Moon, bringing the potential for some shocks or surprises to occur through other people, waking us up to our full potential and our true nature. Uranus is known for blasting through blocks and breaking down old habits or patterns by creating sudden events and experiences that give a bit of a shock to our system so that we can make necessary changes. We could experience sudden outbursts of anger or frustration from ourselves and others, or people acting erratically and seemingly out of character. However, the underlying purpose is to show us where we have fallen into unhealthy ruts within our relationships and to liberate us from any situations that are restricting freedom or preventing us from being ourselves. Uranus is in Aries, the sign opposite Libra, and is encouraging us to be true to ourselves and our own needs, standing up for our rights and being utterly authentic. It is quite possible that what other people show us in the mirror could give us a bit of a jolt, awakening us to aspects of ourselves; our blind spots that are usually hidden from view. We could experience a very valuable eye opener or epiphany that makes us more consciously aware of some old habit that is sabotaging our relationships and going against our true self.

Uranus and Saturn are currently part of a Grand Trine with the North Node of the Moon, helping us to break down old behavioural patterns and find new ways of being that are more in line with who we really, truly are rather than who we have been conditioned to think we “should” be. We will probably be able to see our old conditioning much more clearly in the coming month so that we actually have a chance to start to create new patterns and ways of relating that are healthier and more in line with who we are becoming. The North Node of the Moon, which represents where our greatest growth currently lies, is in Leo at the moment, so we are being encouraged to reclaim the parts of ourselves that we may have left behind and to fully participate in life, allowing ourselves to truly shine. Leo reminds us that we are the co-creator of our reality; the director of our own play and invites us to have some fun deciding what that reality might be! There is a playful, spontaneous aspect to Leo that we are all being asked to tap into at the moment, and with Saturn and Uranus in on the act we have the potential to make our visions of our future (Uranus) more concrete and real (Saturn). Uranus and Saturn will complete their trine on 11 November, so the energy will be building until then.

All in all, the energy of this time points towards making a break with the past and finding new ways of being and of relating to others. We are in a new paradigm now and the old way quite simply isn’t working anymore. We are somewhere that we have never been before, forging a new path that leads us into unfamiliar territory. With the Saturn Chiron square building there is a sense that enough is enough, and as painful as it might be it is time to break these old patterns, facing our selves honestly and with integrity so that we can allow our higher selves to run the show instead of our old fears, habits and beliefs. So often what people seem to be “doing to us” is merely them validating a belief that we have been carrying with us our whole lives, such as “I’m not good enough”, or “Daddy doesn’t love me”, or “I have to be a good girl and achieve or mummy won’t love me”. We attract people into our lives that reinforce this belief over and over again until we finally recognise that the belief itself is what needs to change before our relationships can shift. This is that time. We have the potential for healing to occur, but not before we really become painfully aware of and accountable for whatever is keeping us stuck in a holding pattern and preventing growth.

The Sabian symbol for the New Moon, at 27° Libra, is: “An airplane sails, high in the clear sky”, which Dane Rudyar describes as “A consciousness able to transcend the conflicts and pressures of the personal life… This picture symbolises the capacity, latent in every individual, to contemplate the stress of existence in our world of duality from a higher level.” We are being offered an opportunity to see ourselves objectively, from a more detached place. Looking at things from the bird’s eye perspective allows greater clarity and awareness of things that we somehow couldn’t see before, bringing “transcendent realisation”. Uranus’s involvement in this Moon could help jolt us into this state of detached, objective awareness of where we are stuck and what needs to change in our lives. Our blind spots could well become more visible and our patterns more obvious. With this clarity we can make good use of this New Moon by consciously letting go of anything that is holding us back from healthy, fulfilling lives and relationships and by setting positive intentions to move forward and grow. This Moon holds such amazing potential for clear understanding and change, but it is up to us what we do with it!

I really enjoy these forecasts and have been conscious of the moon phases and also how they affect my life.
Many experienced gardeners plant by moon in order to get best results, so I’ve been reading Moonology for a basic guide on how to go about it.
This month I forgot about the new moon, but on new moon day (20th) I suddenly felt the urge to go window-shopping for a new board. So I left my desk walked down the street to one of my favourite shops and walked out 20 minutes later with a new model 9’3" double concave performance malibu. Perfect, the universe helps me with these matters, maybe it’s my north node in the in the second house; I’m good at buying shit. And this thing is bigger than your average 7 gill shark.

Next day I was in the water. Suddenly I’m not afraid of the ocean.

The moon has such a strong influence on so many people in so many ways, I’m trying to think of how many ways.

This is Cock Rock. Besides it’s funny name, it is a natural tide gauge.
When the water level reaches the knob it will be deep enough to turn the reef out back into a spectacle of hydrodynamics. All because of the moon!
I nearly drowned out here once, yeah good times.
It would have been a nice death, I was so relaxed until I popped up and tried to breath again.
So many people around here carry tide guides, their lives ruled by the moon.

I’m gonna go check the surf.
Hope you like the picture, I filled my shoes with water taking it.

Do like the picture and good to see you. Wet feet are happy feet.
My period was most often on the full moon though it got tugged around by other women and traveling on occasion. You wanted to know that, right?
I have gazed at the moon all my life. A favorite thing to do.

I’ve heard that, maybe it’s to do with why the moon is considered female.
Maybe you can relate to this song.

A lovely tribute, hadn’t heard that before. Very like a lullaby.

Here’s the forecast from my astrologer friend for Saturday’s Taurus Full Moon:

TAURUS FULL MOON – Saturday 4 November, exact at 5.22am GMT, 1.22am EDT

This Full Moon invites us to let go of anything we may be holding on to too tightly. We are in Scorpio season now, which is a time of confronting and purging any habits, patterns, beliefs, people or situations that are preventing growth. We are asked to be really honest with ourselves and recognise what is simply not serving us anymore. Scorpio is a psychologically astute sign that really likes get to the nitty gritty of why we are behaving a certain way, or why we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. “Why, why, why?” Scorpio asks! The Moon is full in Taurus, however. Taurus is very resistant to change, as it threatens her sense of security. As such, this Moon could bring us face to face with our resistance and make it all too apparent how we are holding ourselves back from doing what we know we need in order to grow. We could become very aware of how we dig our heels in when asked to change patterns of behaviour, and how it is so hard to see beyond our limiting beliefs. For Taurus, just the thought of change threatens her sense of survival.

Scorpio represents the process of evolution, metamorphosis and transmutation. She will quite happily rip the rug out from under us in order to help us grow. Loss, betrayal, death and rebirth all come under the Scorpio banner. When we are stuck in Taurus mode and something needs to shift, Scorpio will come along to question and confront us, forcing us to make the leap towards change. During this Moon, Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler will be helping us to move past these outmoded patterns and beliefs that we are holding onto for dear life. We have an opportunity to see how we hold ourselves back and get stuck in a rut, unable to see a way out. If we are willing to do the work, the way will be shown.

Taurus shows us how our inner dialogue with ourselves has an impact on what we bring into our lives. It represents our self-worth and the law of attraction. The way we relate to ourselves will be mirrored by what and who we attract to us. If we are overly critical of ourselves, we will attract people who are critical of us. If we don’t feel confident about our abilities, talents or capacities, then we will find it hard to get a job or earn the right amount of money. This Moon could well bring the theme of self-worth to the foreground for us to look at. As Taurus also represents our values, it is quite possible that this Moon will force us to evaluate what actually holds meaning in our lives and what has to go. Our values change over time, and what was important to us last year may have somehow lost meaning by now. With this Moon we have the opportunity to recognise what we might be holding onto for no good reason. We are being asked to let go. When it comes down to it, what is really, truly important to us?

Neptune is forming a very strong, harmonious aspect to the Sun and Moon, so there is a sense that we are being asked to simply let go and surrender to the flow. Neptune reminds us to let go of any kind of attachment to a certain outcome and any fears or beliefs that might be blocking us from manifesting what we need in our lives. Neptune has the power to dissolve the self-imposed blocks, barriers and limitations with the power of faith and unconditional love. Neptune reminds us of who we really are; our true essence, beyond ego. We are invited to simply have faith and trust that we are being guided in the right direction so there is no need to be afraid or dig our heels in. We are all spiritual beings who are here on earth having a human experience and we just need to trust that whatever is happening is all perfect, even in its apparent imperfection! We are invited during this moon to be open, receptive and to allow our imagination and intuition to guide us in the right direction. Neptune’s presence will also heighten our compassion towards ourselves and others and help us to connect with one another on a deeper level.

The ruler of this Full Moon is Venus, the planet of love and relationships. Venus is triggering the Saturn Chiron square, which has now reached its peak and so it will now start losing its power. The square, combined with Jupiter moving into Scorpio, has made everything quite dark and heavy and brought some very old, entrenched patterns to the surface, which could make us feel quite vulnerable. Jupiter seems to be magnifying all things Scorpio at the moment, so we are coming face to face with our shadows and the darker side of existence. However, what amazing potential for growth we have here if we are brave enough to really take a look at what we would usually deny in ourselves! With Venus involved with Saturn and Chiron during this Moon, we may be triggered somewhat by those closest to us and be forced to take a realistic look at how we sabotage our relationships with these outworn patterns of relating that we learned so very long ago.

Venus is also forming an opposition to Uranus, so this give us an opportunity to break out of these ruts and try a new way of relating that is more in line with who we really are. We may find our loved ones acting erratically and seemingly out of character, or needing more freedom, or wanting to change something within the relationship. It could be a bit unsettling if we are not aware of the need for change, but ultimately it can help us to find a new way of being in relationship that better reflects the needs of the two individuals involved. Wherever we are stuck, stagnating or limiting ourselves, Uranus will bring a blast of fresh air to help liberate us and find a new way of doing things. Uranus is the king of detachment, so we are being given the chance to take a step back and look at everything a bit differently. There is definitely a sense that we are being asked to let go of anything we are holding onto too tightly, whatever that may be. When we do, we allow room for what we need in order to grow.

The Sabian symbol for Venus is, at 26° Libra: “An eagle and a large white dove change into each other”, which Dane Rudyar describes as “The interaction of the spiritual Will and of the Love principle when critical needs arise. Consciousness operates beyond duality, because the polarised energies of the Soul (for spirit), Will and Love, though ever distinct, work for a single purpose.” The Eagle is a bird of prey, a symbol of strength and stamina, and represents the will. The Dove is a symbol of peace, innocence and love, and so we are encouraged to use the strength of our will to go after what we want at the same time as being open to spiritual messages and emotional guidance. The key, as always, is to listen to our feelings, because they are our internal guidance system. If it feels good, go for it! Again we are being asked to trust that we are ultimately flowing in the right direction, and while we can consciously choose to make changes in our lives we must also simply let go, surrender and allow the universe to do what it will.

Forecast for Saturday’s Scorpio New Moon. It’s going to be an intense one, in true Scorpio fashion…

SCORPIO NEW MOON – Saturday 18 November, exact at 11.42am GMT, 6.42am EST

This is the Moon for purging ourselves of old habits and patterns and moving beyond what we think we are capable of. It is a time for shedding old skin so that we can emerge, shiny and new and ever so slightly vulnerable! Over the past couple of weeks, since the Taurus Full Moon, we have had the opportunity to recognise what old beliefs, habits, emotional patterns and ways of relating are not working for us anymore. Now it is time to let them go, like the leaves falling from the trees. They belonged to the old version of ourselves, and we now need to develop a new set of beliefs and way of being that are more of a reflection of who we are becoming.

This New Moon holds the potential for powerful transformation and metamorphosis. This is especially so if we can consciously leave behind whatever isn’t serving us in the dark of the Moon, with loving gratitude, and open ourselves up for something more appropriate to take its place. It’s a great time for rituals that help us to surrender old patterns and habits. It’s time for them to go.

Scorpio is an intensely emotional sign which encourages us to look deep inside ourselves and be very honest about what we find there. We currently have the Sun, Moon, Venus and Jupiter in a sign that is rather fond of diving into the shadows and revealing whatever is lurking there. As such, during this time we might become more aware of traits that we tend to deny in ourselves, which more often than not is mirrored by those closest to us. Something that really bothers us about another person is more often than not an unowned part of ourselves that we are unwilling to face. The more we deny it the more they act it out for us and the more it gets under our skin! Jupiter, being the largest planet, has been exaggerating and magnifying all things Scorpio since October 10, making the shadows much harder to miss! We are in a time of transition and, like the snake shedding its skin, we are letting go of old beliefs, patterns and habits so that we can emerge anew, an unencumbered version of ourselves. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes a part of us is dying so that we can be reborn and start afresh.

Not only is the New Moon in Scorpio, but Pluto and Mars, the two rulers of Scorpio, are also forming a challenging square aspect to each other. This could bring a powerful impetus for change, whereby we are forced to move beyond our self-imposed limitations. We could feel intense emotions rising up from deep within us, such as anger or rage, and have no choice but to express them. When we put the planet of soul, power and transformation with the planet of action, desire, energy, motivation and drive, we have the potential for acting on some very deep, unconscious desires and being incredibly motivated to transform our lives. It is quite possible that we won’t have a choice in the matter, as something from deep within us will be driving us to make the necessary changes. We may be capable of things we never knew possible and could find strength we didn’t know we had. Certainly, if anything has been bothering us it will be hard to hold it in! We will be prompted to align our willpower with our higher will, acting on behalf of our soul’s urges.

Uranus in Aries is also forming a nagging, quincunx aspect to the Sun and Moon in Scorpio. This also feels like a challenge for us to have a long hard look at what needs changing in our lives and what is preventing us from being truly ourselves. Uranus is the Great Awakener, so we are being urged to “wake up” to who we really are, rather than our learned patterns of behaviour that we adopted to please our parents or school teachers and win their love. Something could come up that forces us to make a break with the past and recognise where we are stuck in old habits and patterns that are sabotaging our relationships and preventing the closeness and intimacy we so desperately desire. Scorpio is the queen of intimacy, and it is only when we drop our “false self” and allow another to see us as we, truly are, warts and all, that we allow a deepening to occur. This process can make us feel rather vulnerable, but if we don’t let it happen then we will just continue to block true intimacy. If we are open to it, we could have some amazing insights into our emotional patterns during this Moon. With Venus in Scorpio forming a square to the Nodes of the Moon, it could become quite apparent how our relationship and intimacy issues are blocking us from finding true fulfilment in life and progressing on our path.

Chiron the Wounded Healer is helping us out during this process, so this could be a time of profound healing, when we are able to revisit old wounds in the spirit of love, compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others. Many of our more destructive patterns are borne out of childhood hurts; we build up our defences against being hurt like that again. The problem is that these defences only go against us later in life, as they block greater intimacy and closeness with our loved ones. During this time we have the opportunity to recognise these blocks and allow them to melt away. The Sabian symbol for Chiron speaks of “the power of the soul to intervene in the personal life to produce the necessary catharses……a purging or catharsis is needed to restore not only fresh and creative spontaneity, but even more the contact with the Soul and God-ordained Dharma”.

Neptune is also forming a flowing, trine aspect to Venus and Jupiter, which will help us to connect more deeply with each other and to relate to each other’s true essence and spirit, beyond our patterns, blocks and learned behaviour. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus and represents unconditional love. This could help us to surrender to intimacy and trust enough to allow our softer, more vulnerable and tender selves to be revealed. Neptune and Jupiter will help us to have the faith and trust needed to take the plunge into our shadows and allow whatever we find there to be seen so that we can grow. Neptune has the power to dissolve our fears and remind us of who we really are, behind all of our barriers. This Moon invites us to go deeper; to let go and surrender to who we really are. Something is falling away and we just need to let it go and trust that we don’t need it anymore and are being guided in the right direction.

awesome work

Recently in the land of Oz we have been voting on whether or not to legalize same sex marriage.
The process has been a battle for many people, with mental health services also stretched.
But in the end the result was a resounding yes from all states and an astounding number of people
including themselves in this vote breaking global records.

Some have suggested that this result and all the, i guess, Trump effect bringing a whole lot of crap into the light
signifies us heading towards a Golden Age. ?

Anyhow, the main actor in this video seems like the real deal.
Imagine Scorpio in this form coming for you, omg

Mars opposite Uranus – exact Friday 1 December

Mars was square Pluto for the New Moon, helping us to purge old patterns and to be brave enough to move beyond our self-imposed limitations. The combination had the potential to bring up some quite intense emotions that it would be hard to contain. Pluto is the planet of transformation, while Mars gives us the energy, motivation and drive to make the necessary changes so that we can shift old habits and patterns so something more aligned with who we are becoming can take their place. Combine this with a Scorpio New Moon and we had the potential to bravely face our shadows and recognise what emotional patterns are holding us back from growth. The energy of the Pluto Mars square peaked on Sunday and is now on the wane.

Now Mars is moving towards an opposition with Uranus, the Great Awakener, who is in Aries at the moment urging us to wake up to our true, authentic selves. Uranus brings sudden events that seem to “happen to us”, but are often merely a reflection of our inner need for change. Uranus and Mars together could make things a bit more unpredictable and make us act in ways that are seemingly out of character but are probably more akin to our real self. Uranus wants to bust us out of our conditioned self, rather than the person we learned to be in order to please our parents and teachers and gain their love and approval. We could feel a burst of courage or experience a wake-up call that helps us to step outside of our comfort zone and try out something new and exciting. Indeed, we may well feel strong, uncontrollable urges to do things differently and break up our old, tired routine. We may become very excited by a new vision for our future and feel a strong need to actually make it happen. There is a revolutionary feeling to this opposition, as people could find the courage and anger needed to stand up for much needed change.

The energy of the opposition could be a bit disruptive to our relationships, as we may feel a tension between our need for the freedom to be ourselves and the need for compromise. Unresolved grievances may come bursting out into the open, although this could definitely be a good thing because it is far better than resentment festering away below the surface! A good way to harness the energy of Mars and Uranus is to be open to anything new and exciting and to be willing and open to take action in order to change. It could make us all too aware of where we are stuck or stagnant, and give us the energy, courage and motivation to kick away anything that might be holding us back or limiting us. We shouldn’t be surprised if our loved ones act differently either; in fact we should embrace it because it could bring a breath of fresh air to our lives and relationships. The energy of the opposition will be building over the next week and will peak on Friday 1 December. As Confucius says “The green reed which bends in the wind is stronger than the mighty oak which breaks in a storm.”
